One of the most cherished
tools of any attendee at a Hollywood Bowl concert
is a corkscrew. Don’t leave home without it!
For the safety of all
concert attendees and to comply with fire
regulations, the aisles and walkways of the
Hollywood Bowl must be kept clear at all times.
Therefore, large containers, picnic baskets, or
coolers measuring more than 15" wide,
15" high, or 20" long will not be
permitted past the ticket gate. Re-usable
containers (such as Tupperware or sipper bottles),
holding food or beverages are permitted in the
theater, as are wine bottles and wine glasses.
Clothing
Average June 17 air
temperatures at the Hollywood Bowl range from 62̊F-80̊F
(16̊C-26̊C). The average June 17
precipitation is zero (the largest rainfall on
June 17 in the history of recorded precipitation
was .02 inches on June 17, 1890!). Thus, we
recommend that a light sweater/jacket or blanket
be brought to the Bowl for the evening performance
to "take the chill off the bight air."
THINGS NOT TO BRING OR DO
Quiet, Please!
As a courtesy to the
musicians and the audience, please keep noise to a
minimum during the performance, including --
securing all bottles, coughing, unwrapping candy,
talking, etc. Turn off any pagers, watch signals,
or other electronic devices. Note: Cellular
telephones, pagers, cameras, laser pointing
devices and recording devices may not be operated
in the theater.
No Smoking Environment
There is no smoking in the
Hollywood Bowl's theater area. Smoking is
permitted in designated areas outside of the
theater.
Candles
The Los Angeles City Fire
Department has granted permission to use candles
that meet very specific fire safety requirements,
in the Box Seat sections only. Approved candles
are sold at the Bowl Store, souvenir kiosk, and
pushcarts located throughout the Bowl. If the
candle device consists of more than one part, the
parts must be secured together so that the candle
device remains intact when tipped over. The tip of
the flame must not be any closer than 2 inches
from the top of the container.
